The Council of Merchants rules Taylon and the lands around it. The only major city gives the Kingdom it’s name and is more of a trade crossroads than anything else. The people of Taylon are farmers, carpenters and traders. They produce a great deal of textiles and grains often exporting them to areas like Saltwater’s Weep which have greater populations than they can support.
The Kingdom is roughly 75 miles north to south and 110 miles east to west and lays roughly 140 miles to the east of Saltwater’s Weep.
Taylon is ruled by the 7 Great Merchant Houses. They run the area and manage the small farmers and traders, running large caravans guarded by phalanx and heavy infantry. This is necessary because of nomadic barbarians and tribes of orcs that regularly descend out of the mountains on raids.
