Uptown

One of the dominant features of Uptown is the huge old growth forest park that the Warlord ordered created and maintained through magic to always be just at the cusp of summer & fall. Many look at the huge bramble wall and the fact that the forest seems to be larger on the inside than it’s walls seem to indicate as a sign that the park is a pseudo-dimension of some sort.

The area near the entrance gates to Uptown most closely resemble an aristocratic human area. Large mansions with tended garden areas and decorated fences to keep them separated from their neighbors. The elves who feel most comfortable in modern urban settings or the newly arrives make up the population of this area. As one gets closer to the pinnacle of the peninsula however the area takes on a more exotic flavor. The houses begin to spread out further and grow closer to old elven structures. Tall tree wrapped towers with bower bridges spreading across the road to connect the different buildings. In some areas the towers are made of smooth crystal or mother of pearl which rise from rock outcrops and have old gnarled trees ringing their bases. The Citadel of the Warlord is a creation of obvious magic.

Globes either rest on tall poles or hang from branches bathing the city in modified daylight spells at almost all time. In the evenings the globes shift in soothing colors of soft purples, greens, or blues, yet still burn the undead as though they were brilliant and powerful. Hellknights often ride through the city of huge horses, patrolling and maintaining the illusion of a blissful, idyllic glen.
